Legislature Takes Up Identity Theft Bill
In April, the Oregon Senate Commerce Committee, chaired by Sen. Floyd Prozanski, passed the Oregon Consumer Identity Theft Protection Act, Senate Bill 583.
OSPIRG Urges Legislature To Close Predatory Lending Loopholes
The 2007 Oregon Legislature took action to close several predatory lending loopholes, and considered OSPIRG-backed legislation to cap runaway rates and fees on consumer loans to no more than 36 percent annual interest.
